Yesterday, at UniMail in Geneva, we had the chance to take part in « Elargis tes Horizons », which is dedicated to offering experiences in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT) to young girls.
The EPFL Space Center offered a tour of the @iss, the International Space Station, using a virtual reality headset. Using a computer, the girls explored the satellite’s facilities and learned more about space.
We were well accompanied! There were some really interesting stands and workshops on offer from a host of institutions, associations and companies, including: @cern, @epfl_sps, @sciences_unige, @heigvd, @cjb_geneve, @cfptechnique, @skyguideofficial, @zerowastegeneve, @education_nationale_france, @addictlab, @hepiageneve, @cui_unige, @rightstech.women... and many more.
The sciences will be in good hands in the years to come: the new generation of women has shown itself to be enthusiastic, brilliant, a team player and eager to learn.
